Nissan is continuing to push more and more towards electric vehicles and transportation. Based out of Japan, Nissan thinks that electric cars can lead to a more economic and sustainable future.
This is why Nissan Italia isn't ignoring the electric vehicle even when it comes to their rental services, for both businesses and individuals, by improving their partnership with Adduma Car, a startup that's completely focused on electric vehicle sharing that is entirely for tourism mobility called "Italy Green Tour".
The tourism market is not only very important to Italy's economy, it also shows how environmentally focused and friendly the country is to those who are visiting. In addition, the partnership of electric vehicle mobility with Nissan will increase the appreciation and reverence towards the program and towards the culture in Italy.
This push will then spread through the rest of Italy, starting in Sicily with RagusaIS, and create a network that will work together within the tourism industry through the area.
Adduma Car is hoping to bring in ten electric Nissan Leafs which will then be placed in a "car sharing-based" service at the Catania's Fontanarossa airport. These cars will be rented through the Adduma Car mobile app, which anyone can download onto their phone and then sign into the service.
The partnership between Adduma Car and Nissan Italia has already been up and running for a year and utilizes four electric commercial cars as well as providing deliveries within the Florentine territory.
With the start of this new intuitive, Nissan will continue to push their mobility programs which started back in 2015 in Puglia and will continue to include the public and private companies, including the Italian Institute of Technology and Sofidel.
