Orange and EOI will launch 'Sé + Digital' as an evolution of its citizen training initiative to promote entrepreneurship and the local digital economy through new technologies.
In March 2016, Orange and the School of Industrial Organization (EOI) launched the free training program 'Sé Digital', with the aim of preparing local citizens and entrepreneurs for the new digital economy through the application of new technologies.
Less than two years later, the initiative has surpassed 7,000 registered students, in more than 130 municipalities throughout Spain, who have already benefited from the advantages of learning and developing digital skills to improve their professional activity and their business in a society as the current, increasingly global and connected.
The success of this first stage has led the organizers of the program to now launch an evolution of the same concept, 'Sé + Digital', which will offer the opportunity to deepen the concepts presented in 'Sé Digital' with a more practical approach.
After almost two years since they launched 'Sé digital', a free program that aimed to prepare local citizens and entrepreneurs for the new digital economy through the application of new technologies, they have participated in the initiative more of 7,000 people.
Given the results, Orange and EOI have worked on its evolution, 'Sé + Digital', which will offer the opportunity to delve into the concepts presented in 'Sé Digital' with a more practical approach. Thus, participants in this expansion of the program will discover new opportunities to do business and offer professional services online from their cities. They will learn basic concepts and tools to develop their digital activities in a simple way and online positioning strategies to be found from anywhere in the world. They will also learn about good practices and new forms of financing on the internet to start up their projects, as well as recommended tools to start the digital transformation of their businesses.
Likewise, the students of 'Sé + Digital' will have access to the advice of experts in digital economy, as well as to the experience of local entrepreneurs who have already started to undertake their own business initiatives from their localities using new technologies.
As in 'Sé Digital', the training, online and free, will last 20 hours, which can be completed within a period of six weeks. After the course, students will receive their corresponding diploma, certified and endorsed by EOI.
In addition, the participants in the program will be able to interact with the members of the 'Virtual Learning Community' associated with the 'Sé + Digital' initiative. In this forum, which already has more than 550 members (with expectations to finish the year above 600) and has its epicenter on Facebook, both alumni who have already achieved their degree and new stakeholders share experiences and knowledge in an online environment similar to the platform in which the training is developed.
