Stay at home mom Jennifer Padilla recently developed a new app called Hired Help Today that lets people connect with contractors in a faster, safer way.
Customers can use the app to post pictures and descriptions of the jobs they need help with, then the contractor can look through postings and reply to those they can help with. The two parties can then negotiate price and availability, all through the app.
“It’s my hope that it’ll be a new way of doing business of contractors and customers,” said Padilla. She hopes her app will change contracting like Uber and Airbnb changed their industries.
“There’s a lot of time wasted and money spent. Through the app, it only takes a few minutes to go and put an offer in on a property. It’s a lot more efficient,” she said.
Padilla is using a large chunk of the proceeds from the app to spread awareness of CLOVES, a condition her son has that causes excess tissue growth in the body. She also hopes to spread the app and service to more cities in the coming weeks.
