The Spanish Association of Fintech and Insurtech (AEFI) has announced the creation of an employment exchange to nurture the business fabric of this business segment through the recruitment of talent.
Currently, the fintech and insurtech sectors employ more than 5,000 people through almost 400 companies, of which 300 are dedicated to financial technology and another 90 to insurance technology. However, AEFI expects that these employment figures will be exceeded throughout 2018 due to the strength of the sector.
The vice president of the employer's association, Rodrigo García de la Cruz, has indicated that the growth of this "new financial ecosystem" is generating demand for professional profiles in the financial, technological, regulatory and entrepreneurial fields.
García de la Cruz ensures that, in the fintech and insurtech sectors, the most demanded profiles are, in order of importance, engineers and software developers, digital marketing specialists, sales force and experts in computer security, compliance, cybersecurity and in big data.
In addition, according to AEFI data, 66% of the Fintech sector is attracting professionals from non-financial sectors, while 28% of companies are selecting their new employees within the sector.
Regarding the training for its employees, 48% of these companies recognize that they have specific training programs for their workers, while 31% opt for collaborations with partners to carry out their projects.
