Puerto de la Cruz, on the Canary Islands, Spain has recently launched its own new employment portal, puertodelacruz.portalemp.com.
The new website, which will be managed by the Local Employment and Development Agency of the City Council (AEDL), allows job seekers of the municipality to present online their CV and their work and training preferences to be eligible for job offers received through the portal, as well as the training courses organised by the AEDL or the collaborating entities of the centre.
Those interested will only need to have an internet connection and an email account to register on the website and start looking for employment.
From home, they will be able to “register, modify and renew their demand and print their curriculum vitae, procedures that previously had to be done in person at the municipal offices,” explained local councillor, Antonia María Domínguez.
In addition, those who do not have access to the internet may register at the offices of the AEDL, located in the Centre for Business Initiatives (CIE).
