HR tech major Workday is extending their Japan footprint – the company has hired a new President to head operations in the region.
Rob Wells takes the office of President, Japan, after a successful stint at the helm of their Australia and New Zealand division. According to reports, he’s been in the role since September 2017 – however, Workday appears to have given him a significant teething period before making the announcement.
Wells brings years of experience working with regional markets. He was responsible for launching PeopleSoft in North Asia – this covered Hong Kong, Taiwan, People’s Republic of China, and South Korea. During this time, he was also VP Product Sales (Asia Pacific).
“For the last 5 years, I have had the privilege of leading Workday in Australia/New Zealand – what a great ride! Now I have the exciting opportunity for leading the great team in Workday Japan,” he said on LinkedIn.
