The Spanish Government intends to have a research talent, that is developing its professional activity abroad, return to Spain. They intend to do this by offering Beatriz Galindo grants, approved this Friday in the Council of Ministers and have a budget of 21.6 million euros.
According to government spokesman Íñigo Méndez de Vigo, "The objective is that in three years we get the talent that is abroad to return to Spain for experiments or to devote to teaching in our country." In this sense, Méndez de Vigo has also explained that the aid will also facilitate "foreign teachers that can come to our country."
In addition, the Council of Ministers has approved through a Royal Decree the creation of an inter-ministerial commission for the incorporation of social criteria in public procurement. Méndez de Vigo explained that this commission will work to take into account "social, environmental and innovation policies".
