In almost any place of work, a call-out means an empty slot needs to be filled for things to run smoothly - that's why schools have substitute teachers, after all - and it's why sometimes healthcare establishments need to call in an extra doctor.

Known as a "locum" physician in doctor-speak, Dr. Haneen Abu-Remaileh is one of those many professionals who was looking for such positions to fit her schedule.
“Instead of having flexibility in my schedule, I found myself bound by a system that required significant research to find the right job boards — let alone jobs,” Abu-Remaileh said. “Unable to find a centralized marketplace that matches physicians to job opportunities in a cost-effective way, I decided to create one myself.”
