InternsME has recently announced a rebrand in its mission to expand upon its goal of career support for Middle Eastern and North African youth. The new company name is titled Oliv, and was released alongside new company technology at an event on April 4th, 2018, located at the Youth xHub in Jumeirah Emirates Towers.
Youth unemployment has been painful in the MENA region and currently sits at nearly 30% (29.3%). According to the World Bank, that number is almost twice the global average, and Oliv hopes to alleviate this pressure point with the new technology announced.
The goal, according to CEO Jean-Michel Gauthier, is to enrich and empower the youth's community by linking students, alumni, and young talent to meaningful employers for internships, part-time and graduate jobs.
“Oliv is home to thousands of students and graduates scattered throughout the region, who each have their own individual set of skills, ambitions and unique personalities. We are working hard to help match them to the right careers and help get their feet on the first rung of the career ladder," said Gauthier in an official statement.
He added, “We all know that starting a career was never easy and today, it’s never been harder. But more than 1,000 businesses, including start-ups and globally recognized organizations, use and trust us to help them hire the best emerging talent to grow their business, maintain a healthy talent pipeline and reduce staff turnover.”
