The career services department of Elizabethtown College has recently introduced Handshake into the school's system, replacing Jobs for Jays as the go-to online database for students looking for jobs and internships at any level and location nationally and localized.
There are currently over 200,000 employers using Handshake and offer more than 200 vacancies added every week, giving students better options when it comes to choosing positions they may be interested in. When it comes to successful employment, Coordinator of Employer Engagement and Job Development Shane Rottier recommends using Handshake to find opportunities, and then moving on to LinkedIn to connect with potential employers.
“Other colleges are hit and miss. The efforts from Elizabethtown College are always spot on,” Rottier said.
