The Japanese recruitment and job information provider, En-Japan, has recently announced a joint venture agreement with Internet and mobile app powerhouse LINE Corp in a funding partnership for their new venture, Lensa. Lensa will be establishing a new job platform called "Line Career" with a primary focus on posting and sending job listings.
Currently, En-Japan's share is 51% and Line's is 49%. Lensa will be utilizing the wide variety of listings from En-Japan's database in tandem with LINE's userbase that clocks in and just over 73 million monthly in Japan, and together will cultivate a service that works for both advertisers and job seekers alike.
Rollout is cautiously aimed for summer of 2018, and more announcements will come as details arise regarding the new company, the service, and the future.
President of En-Japan, Takatsugu Suzuki, commented, “We are overjoyed at the opportunity this joint venture with Line gives us to provide even more people with quality and reliable job listings. By leveraging En-Japan's and Line's respective know-how and resources, we will continue to contribute to bringing career satisfaction to as many people as possible, all the while improving companies' business results.”
Representative Director, President, Chief Executive Officer of Line Corporation, Takeshi Idezawa, also said, “I'm very excited that establishing this joint venture with En-Japan will allow us to launch a service that plays a role in a very important event in people's lives – career change.”
