Tennessee's major city, Memphis, has recently launched its online job board entitled HireMemphis.org. The platform is seeking young Memphians from 16 - 24 with local business in need of workers and interns alike.
Some of these business include major names like FedEx, AutoZone, and ServiceMaster, and have already posted several vacancies, and Memphis Mayor Strickland said that more would be posted in the coming future.
“Memphis is an opportunity city,” Strickland commented, mentioning that there are 12,000 more citizens of the city working compared to ten years ago, and that there are 15,000 job openings in the city currently.
“Let’s help more young people reach these opportunities. We as a community have to do more to help our young people.”
