Career Anna, with its newfound capital, hopes to use the funds to debut a series of professional degree online learning programs on big-ticket items like artificial intelligence, data science, machine learning, deep learning, and more.
The platform, which will be video-driven, has raised Rs 3 crore (approximately $448,000 USD) financing from Subinder Khurana, an angel investor group representative.
Career Anna was incepted in 2014, and hopes to give students, professionals, and job-seekers the tools to prepare for exams, acquire necessary skills, and find their footing in high-growth careers.
Users of the platform can choose their desired career path or employment preference, enter a program to gain he skills required for their industry, complete real projects within that industry and be afforded opportunities for hire.
“We bring in select experts and professionals from academia and industry to leverage our technology platform to create video-driven online learning courses, and then take these courses to learners with the assurance of quantitative and positive outcomes,” says Career Anna CEO, Varun Saxena.
"We pair each student with an industry mentor/alumnus of top institutes, who provides real-world context, frequent feedback to continuously improve, resulting in 94% course completion rate, which is significantly higher than other platforms offering MOOC," Ayushi Marwah, the Head of Operations commented.
