Prior to co-founding Ease, Nate Harris had never touched a technology-based startup. But now Ease is up and running out of Milwaukee as a tech and service provider that aids businesses in seeking out freelancers that can help with specific skills like website design and SEO.
Before Ease, Harris worked in gastronomy and digital marketing - he's currently a managing partner in the downtown tavern called Ugly's - and stated that he doesn't see the staffing industry as being that different from the realm of dining and nightlife in a competitive sense. It's one of the reasons Ease is looking to expand on a countrywide scale.
“Things like Upwork, Fiverr, and other companies—you could look at them as competitors” of Ease, Harris comments. “But I look at them more as partners because the better they do, the more people are out there freelancing. I don’t look at other bars as competitors. The more great restaurants and great businesses that we have in Milwaukee, the better. That means people are believing in it.”
