Housy, a Berlin-based online portal startup brings a different spin to the housing rental industry in Germany. Instead of renters looking for property to rent, Housy allows landlords to look for the right tenant.
After entering the market in Berlin and Brandenburg, the offer will soon be expanded to include new West German metropolitan areas. The Berliners are one step closer to financing this goal: In the current round of investment, Housy will receive a six-figure sum. The BFB Brandenburg Kapital and the company founders invest.
On the online platform of the Housy GmbH is not looking for the tenant the right apartment, but the landlord the suitable prospect. The Berlin Proptech start-up inverts the former standard procedure of the housing agency and tackles things exactly the other way around. Users receive corresponding offers after registration based on their desired criteria. The landlord has the advantage that only housing seekers are presented who meet his requirements. In addition, Housy promises a high number of interested parties, so that housing can be given promptly. This should reduce costly vacancies or be completely avoided. The start-up wants to make mass visits and a flood of competitors superfluous.
