Planted debuts no-cost hiring program for American non-profits

Intelligent career platform that links business-oriented talent with expanding companies, Planted, Inc., has recently announced that hiring fees for non-profit organization (NPOs) will be waived going forward, granting them better access to their pool of over 125,000 candidates.

Non-profit organizations can simply sign up for Planted at Planted.com, create their job postings, and provide proof of their 501(c) status to start getting top, curated talent.

Planted explains that expanding to non-profits is a natural next step as the company grows. "Our goal is to help job seekers find career-building opportunities while also helping innovative organizations build incredible teams," says Planted CEO and co-founder Susan Zheng. "To be able to expand our service to non-profits is an exciting opportunity for us to help make an even bigger impact than we could ever imagine."

People—namely millennials—are increasingly looking for roles where they can make a measurable impact on their communities and cultivate a sense of purpose through their work. According to a study by American Express and reported by Forbes, 71% of millennials strive to work at an organization whose values match their own, and 68% hope to make a positive impact on the world.

"We have found that Planted is one of the highest quality sources we have," says Chris Johnson, a member of the Talent Team at Classical Charter Schools. "At Classical Charter Schools, our mission is to prepare K-8th grade scholars in the South Bronx to excel in college preparatory high schools. Planted helps us do this by giving us the quality hires we need in order to grow our network and better serve our community."

Since its launch in 2015, Planted has worked with thousands of mission-driven startups and growing companies to build their teams using its proprietary job matching engine. "Having been both hiring managers and job seekers ourselves, we built Planted to be a smarter, more transparent matchmaker so that companies can easily hire for top talent and candidates always know where they stand throughout the application process," says COO and co-founder Connie Wong.
