In the recent months, rivalries between real estate portals has been heating up, with new startups jumping into the fray almost daily. In lieu of portal competition, UK-based property portal giant, Zoopla, has recently announced that it will be immediately removing all advertisements that are not about property off all of its listing pages.
The change, the company reasons, is designed to ensure these pages are entirely focused on marketing properties and the agent that is listing them.
A statement from the portal says that by removing visual distractions, decluttering the web page and helping it to load faster, the aim is to ultimately drive better marketing reach for properties listed on the portal and, by extension, for agents.
The statement went on to say that the initiative is “part of Zoopla’s ongoing enhancements to the website to deliver a better service to agents and to increase the focus on driving leads and instructions for agent partners through a better user experience and improved SEO.”
Zoopla is the UK's most comprehensive property website, focused on empowering users with the resources they need to make better-informed property decisions. We help consumers both find their next home and research the market by combining hundreds of thousands of property listings with market data, local information and community tools.
