KKR & Co. LP, an international private equity firm, has promoted the current head of its India real estate investment platform, Yesh Nadkarni, to Managing Director, starting in the new year.
London-based Indian origin director of KKR Credit, Varun Khanna, who has been with the firm since 2016, has also been made a managing director. Both Nadkarni and Khanna are among the 18 senior executives globally who have been promoted by KKR to the position of managing director, according to an announcement.
“We are thrilled to congratulate an exceptional group of senior leaders on this milestone and thank each of them for their significant contributions to maintaining our firm’s culture, integrity and success,” said Henry Kravis and George Roberts, Co-Chairmen and Co-CEOs of KKR. “Nothing pleases us more than delivering results for our portfolio companies and our investors and recognising the individuals for their part in helping KKR achieve that mission.”
Prior to joining KKR, he worked in J.P. Morgan's principal investing group, the firm’s balance sheet investing platform, where his last role was to oversee the group’s Asia-Pacific (ex-China) real estate investing business. Prior to J.P. Morgan, Mr. Nadkarni spent over ten years working in a variety of roles focusing on real estate investing and advisory areas across India, Southeast Asia, and Australia. He holds a Masters in Finance degree from London Business School and a Bachelor of Engineering degree from India.
