Google recently announced that they will reveal a new feature for "candidate discovery" in March of next year. The company said that employers usually get around 250 resumes per job opening and their new feature will find a use for the 249 people they don't hire. However, keeping track and sifting through a pile of former applications is difficult without help, which is something Google's "candidate discovery" hopes to solve.
Hire is a good example of how the recruiting tech industry is working to speed up processes and improve human engagement. With the tight labor market, employers are perhaps more than ever focused on reducing time-to-hire, while also finding the right candidates.
