Volkswagen recently announce that the company expect to build up to 15 million electric vehicles by using their new MEB vehicle platform, which also reveals the ability the company can produce mass quantities of clean running cars.
Volkswagen is investing more than 11 billion euros ($12.52 billion) into electric connected and autonomous vehicles by 2023, of which 9 billion euros will be allocated toward developing a family of electric cars, the carmaker said.
The MEB is a platform for Volkwagen and its subsidies to use to construct electric and more modern vehicles with. The platform aims to make the process of making these new kind of cars simpler, quicker, and less complicated. Toward the beginning of 2018, Volkswagen had already invested $48 billion into the platform to fund the purchase of car battery supplies.
