Ever run into issues with applying online, or having to trawl through endless sites to figure out career path options? Goodwill of Delaware and Delaware County has some solutions.
Goodwill of Delaware and Delaware County introduced its new Career Connection service Wednesday in Wilmington. It allows the user to take a career assessment, build a resume and cover letter, and to learn about vital career skills such as interviewing and negotiating.
A video feature allows the user to practice answering interview questions.
"This is available to any resident in the State of Delaware who would like to sign on and look for a job," Goodwill of Delaware and Delaware County President and CEO Colleen Morrone said. "It takes it out of the classroom and puts it into the hands of the individuals that are looking for jobs at any time of the day or night."
Delaware Labor Secretary Cerron Cade praised the service for involving the job seeker beyond just searching for openings, "to provide them with the confidence necessary to apply for that top job and to nail that interview for that long-sought opportunity."
