Recently, Cape Town proptech startup, HouseMe, has secured an impressive investment, which the company has stated being a "multi-million" rand investment, though the co-founder and CEO Ben Shaw has yet to disclose who the two investors behind the deal are.
The proptech startup — which was founded in 2016 by Shaw and Kyle Bradley in 2016 — announced the investment last Thursday (13 December).
HouseMe connects tenants to residential landlords, providing letting services for a fraction of agency fees. HouseME is a digital platform that connects dream tenants to great landlords. It facilitate mutually-beneficial relationships that result in fair prices, ongoing support, transparency and reduced risk. For only 2.5%, HouseME is the new, easy and smart way to rent.
Shaw stated that the deal was concluded last month. He however would not disclose who the investors are, beyond the fact that they are a financial services provider and a property development company.
