Major Chinese job recruitment platform 51job has recently refuted claims by a notable security firm that more than 2 million jobs had been removed from the site following an economic slowdown in 2018, Reuters reports.
51job posted on its official Wechat page that Tianfeng Securities had conducted “improper” analysis of the website’s data when it concluded that total listings dropped from 2.85 million to just 830,000 in the six months from April to September.
“The content of that research is contrary to facts,” 51job said in the statement, accusing Tianfeng of stoking concerns regarding the health of the Chinese economy. “Who gave Tianfeng the guts to do this?” the company added.
