Sanjeev Bikhchandani, Founder and Executive Vice-Chairman, Info Edge (India) Ltd., has commented on the state of the market and tech, determining that while the market is currently saturated with digital alternatives to products and services, the key is staying on the edge of the curve and ahead of the game to gain traction and improve your products.
Info Edge owns various sites, such as the recruitment portal Naukri.com, real estate platform 99acres, matrimonial forum Jeevansathi, and education platform Shiksha.
Bikhchandani said: “In the last 21 years since the launch of Naukri.com, there has been a sea-change in the way recruitment is done in India.”
While it is driving volumes, the venture is not without its challenges. “The big problem is matching. There are 6,000 resumes, 75,000 recruiters and 4-5 lakh jobs at any given point in time,” said Bikhchandani.
