CDK Global, a DMS provider company, is moving forward with their intentions to make a more open platform for their dealers and to be more responsive with their third party suppliers.
It said its new International Partner Programme allows suppliers to improve the functionality of their products, improve integration in dealerships, reduce re-keying and increase efficiency.
The scheme was piloted last year with CDK and enquiryMAX forming a partnership to integrate showroom technology with the Autoline Rev8 dealer management system (DMS). This is now live in over 100 dealer UK sites.
It is now offering five more UK third party suppliers access to the CDK core DMS using standardised integration points. These companies are now in the process of developing integrated solutions for car dealers.
The UK companies are Dealerweb, eDynamix, SalesMaster, Force24 and Motor Document Solutions.
Dealerweb, for example, will be integrating Dealerweb Showroom, a sales process and enquiry management system built for the automotive sector by industry experts. The system delivers lead management, offer creation, profit calculation and analysis, FCA compliance and real-time activity reporting.
CDK, which in the past has come under fire for its unwillingness to share data, first signalled its intention to be more open to Motor Trader in 2017.
