A startup company out of France, OnePark, developed a mobile app and platform to help assist those looking to book a parking space for their vehicle. The platform allows consumers to compare, pay, and reserve parking spaces ahead of time. The company was started with the focus of helping consumers save time instead of having to constantly search out a parking space.
During a recent fund raising round OnePark raised €15 million from AccorHotels, a top hotel chain that boasts 4,700 hotels in over 100 countries. In addition Groupe ADP, Keolis, and investors Christophe Courtin and James Blouzard all also invested during the funding round. Previously, OnePark managed to raise €12 million in November of 2017 from Keolis. These new funds will help OnePark grow into more major cities around Europe.
Using this most recently funding of €15 million, OnePark hopes to increase their push into Europe and grow their platform into more markets. The platform is expected to launch in Portugal very soon.
In the year 2023 the company hopes to have over 5,000 parking lots and over 100,000 parking spaces on their platform. They also intend to grow their employees by another 100 people during 2019 to help grow and expand.
Started back in 2014 by Gilles Latouche and David Vanden, OnePark allows consumers to compare and book parking space ahead of time. The company has teamed with parking managers in airports, cities, train stations, and hotels to help get their users more parking spaces to choose from. Currently over 250 hotels of AccorHotels and over 40,000 parking space within Paris' airports are on the OnePark platform.
Currently, OnePark has over 1,500 parking space all over Europe on their platform. 1,000 of those space are in France, 100 are located in Spain, 50 are in Belgium, and a few are in the Netherlands, Switzerland, and Luxembourg. The company boasts they sell over 100,000 hour of parking every day. As for competition the company has rivals in Parclick, EasyPark, Zenpark, OPnGO, and Yespark.
