Windsor Motor Group is boasting about already reaching 100 used cars sold online only months after joining up with GForces' ecommcerce platform called NetDirector Auto-e.
GForces – which provides digital technology, marketing, and consultancy services to the automotive industry – launched the product in late-2018 and is supporting a wide range of dealer groups with the platform to underpin new ecommerce strategies.
The launch by one of Ireland’s largest automotive retailers of the new direct sales channel is a significant milestone for the country’s car industry. Windsor – which represents Nissan, Renault, Dacia, Peugeot, Opel and Mazda – sells more than 12,000 new and used vehicles a year across its 15 dealerships and is seeing huge numbers of existing and prospective clients visit its website.
Peter Nicholson, managing director at Windsor, said: ‘Digital is reshaping the future of car sales and dealerships as we know it. Thousands of motorists are visiting the website each day, and we’ve just sold our 100th used car online. This is very reassuring as we move ahead with the full roll-out of the NetDirector Auto-e platform from GForces.’
Windsor collaborated with GForces to create an omnichannel digital presence that has been so successful it is now looking to sell new cars online across the authorized brand range as well.
