From administrative support staff to manufacturing, case management, engineering and more, employment candidates of all ages are being sought during an upcoming hiring event in Cambridge.

The Cambridge WorkForce Center, established in 1996, now known as CareerForce, will be hosting a one-day hiring event from 1-3 p.m. Feb. 27 at the CareerForce center located at 140 Buchanan St. N., Suite 152, Cambridge.

WorkForce development specialist Kelly Gerads encourages career seekers to come to the event prepared for anything.

“Dress for success; come dressed for an interview — you may get one,” Gerads said. “Smile, show you are enthusiastic about the opportunities in front of you. Do some research on the employers that you want to talk with.”

The event will allow career seekers a variety of opportunities on-site, according to Gerads.

“Job seekers could find employment, job leads at other locations, networks to other opportunities, information, and the options are endless. These events oftentimes lend themselves to creating great conversations for people to talk about careers and maybe the employer they are searching (for) isn’t present, but maybe someone knows who they are and can share that with the job seeker, and that might be the spark they need to get the fire going,” Gerads said. “Many employers will interview on-site and we will have some room available for that. Some will offer jobs also, and each employer’s process is unique to their business.”
