“We want to offer our customers new options for vehicle use that are both flexible and attractive. That is why we have developed an offer that is typical for Porsche: it offers premium mobility in a fast and simple way without having to purchase a vehicle. With Cluno, we have found an ideal partner, a company that stands for modern, digital mobility services and that will work together with us on developing new solutions,” says Thilo Koslowski, CEO of Porsche Digital.
Choose a Porsche by App
Cluno currently offers vehicle ownership through a subscription business model in Germany. Consumers can choose to driver a vehicle they choose for set periods of time, but never have to purchase it. Subscriptions, when contrasted with buying, leasing, or financing a car, requires no long term liabilities or issues with a notice period of around three months.
“Many people would like more flexible and easier access to their own car. Cluno makes exactly that possible with its digital, app-based car subscription. We are delighted about the cooperation with Porsche and are sure that we will be able to jointly create enthusiasm for Cluno and Porsche vehicles among many new customers. We could not have imagined a better exclusive partner for the launch of the premium segment at Cluno,” says Nico Polleti, Founder and CEO of Cluno.
Porsche is cooperating with Cluno
The current slate of cars offering are newer used vehicles that went through Porsche's own inspection process. Cars from every model production line are currently available for subscription. The monthly subscription fees begin at 1,299 euros and go up depending on the model chosen and each vehicle can be looked through in the "Porsche inFlow" and Cluno website and mobile app. The entire subscription setup process doesn't take long through the app or website and cars are delivered to the consumer.
“Porsche inFlow” supplements the range of new mobility concepts
Porsche's plan is to build up as a fruitful sporty and mobility brand. The company needs to offer the correct suite of products and services to meet the many needs of consumers as well as continue to create new modes of mobility. The company's "Porsche inFlor" service, which will include vehicle rental program "Porsche Drive" and vehicle subscription service "Porsche Passport". Several test programs are set to begin rolling out throughout the world with a "Porsche Host" program set to begin in October 2018 for the United States. This pilot program would let consumers rent a Porsche from other owners for small periods of time through the person-to-person vehicle sharing platform, Turo.
