e.GO Mobile, a Germany-based electric transportation startup company, recently partnered up with Volkswagen for their MEB platform, to begin producing their vehicle models at their new factory plant in Aachen.
The e.GO Life will be launched in three variants, the technical details of which were already released just over a year ago. After the road release experienced some delay due to a reorganisation at important suppliers, the Aachen debut model is to be delivered from the beginning of May.
As the German trade publication, Elektroauto-News portal claims to have learned from a reliable source, all existing pre-orderers of the e.GO Life (up until number 4,300), are to be supplied by the end of 2019 after successful homologation in mid-March.
While the basic version starts at 15,900 euros, the middle version starts at 17,400 euros. Those wanting the more powerful e.GO, will have to pay 19,900 euros. A surcharge of 1,200 euros will be charged for the infotainment system, which does not include the navigation system that will only be available this year for an extra 1,900 euros.
Now in Geneva, e.GO Mobile is also presenting the Life Concept Sport, an offshoot of the small electric car with a more startling design, sportier chassis and higher performance in combination with a high-quality interior and a panorama glass roof. “The e.GO Life Concept Sport stands for the fun factor of dynamic electric driving and is affordable for everyone at the same time”, said Professor Günther Schuh, CEO of e.GO Mobile in the run-up to the car show.
