Emirates College of Technology (ECT), one of UAE’s oldest and most prestigious universities accredited for quality higher education; and LinkedIn, the world's largest and most professional network, have announced their partnership to help address the shifting demands of the economy by contributing to the expansion of academic and vocational programs at ECT in accordance with the job market; and supporting the university’s efforts to enhance their marketing capabilities.

Through this new integration with LinkedIn, ECT aims to strengthen its reputation in the employment market, and its attractiveness as an employer of choice. This is further supported by ECT benefiting from LinkedIn recruitment platform, positioning it as institution with high quality curriculum, outstanding faculty and top-notch infrastructure and facilities.

Under this MoU, ECT will work jointly with LinkedIn to create more opportunities for candidates to avail a diverse range of academic programs that are designed to cater to the future job market. The partnership will also enable the university to attract world class professors, attain the best talent in the market and widen its community outreach to extend to a new segment of customers.

“The labour market is rapidly changing, and is creating new opportunities and challenges for both employers and employees. We are very excited to be working with LinkedIn to create better solutions for hiring and developing talent, making it as seamless and effective as possible. Our collaboration with LinkedIn will serve as a powerful vehicle for talented professionals to explore various career opportunities at ECT, endorsing the university’s efforts towards marketing, and strengthening its brand both locally and internationally. This association will also serve as a unique and purposeful way to empower students, enabling them to take greater control of their careers through rigorous programs that prepare them for the jobs of the future,” said Professor Abdul Rahim Sabouni, Acting President & CEO of Emirates College of Technology.

"We believe LinkedIn is the ideal partner to add further value to ECT’s comprehensive academic programs. By bridging the skills gap we aim to empower ECT students, enabling them to take part in future’s workforce. Moreover, our platform gives the university the chance to connect with the world’s largest pool of professionals through our network," commented Ghassan Talhouk, Head of Talent Solutions UAE.

For students, the opportunity to add LinkedIn validated certificates on their profiles  will allow them increased visibility , in turn providing more connections and employment possibilities. As one of the leading universities in the Emirate, ECT garners a lot of interest from fresh graduates seeking employment.
