Gubagoo, a conversation focused online commerce company for car dealers and OEMs, recently made several announcements and updates about their Virtual Retailing and Gubagoo ChatSmart platforms.
Virtual Retailing, a live video and messaging platform which launched only a few months ago, has been deemed a success by the company and is doing well with US car dealerships. In another statement, the company announced updates to Gubagoo ChatSmart, a consumer facing messaging platform, including new VDP prices, rebates, virtual desking, and new re-targeting abilities.
The company claims that around 15% of consumers who go through Gubagoo Virtual Retail will end up buying a car.
As for Gubagoo's ChatSmart platform the company announced it has been combined with Google Messaging, HubSpot's automated marketing app, and Car Wars' call tracking product. The Google Messaging integration allows consumers to message businesses directly through Google search results, Google Maps results, or Google ads. This marks over 80 different integrations for the ChatSmart platform.
Gubagoo also stated that Virtual Retailing is doing well for car dealerships with an overall positive reception since launch earlier this year.
“The entire experience has been flawless. So far, we have sold five cars as a direct result of using Gubagoo Virtual Retailing,” said Gunn Automotive Group Executive Director of Information and Consumer Strategy Tony Rhoades. "We love that our team can work a live deal with online customers who otherwise might not engage with us, and even better, get them back into the deal after they have left our website as offers and incentives change."
“For us the flexibility and ease of use have been key,” Brie Ryan, Gary Lang Auto Group Digital Marketing Manager, said. “The ability to instantly connect with a customer when interest is highest and desk a deal on the spot has our team highly engaged in the online retailing experience. Many are saying that the online buying experience was very easy and the immediate support they got from Gubagoo’s retail specialists and our dealership staff was very helpful.”
Gubagoo's Virtual Retailing process provides a payment calculator, trade-in options, rebates, F&I products, and credit applications through Dealertrack and RouteOne.
When a customer begins the purchase process, retail experts will be online at all times to provide any needed support. Gubagoo allows dealership employees to watch sales happen and can join in through text messages, live chat, or Facebook. The process also has a feature called Blaster, allowing dealerships to bring back incomplete sales with new prices or offers in an effort to finish a sale.
Gubagoo's VDP allows customers to look at images and details for the cars they want from their messages. Gubagoo is updating this feature so customers can learn how much their trade-in will be and add on any rebates. Gubagoo Live, the company's omni-channel dealer platform, collects customer data from their VDP and provides it to dealers.
