Mobile devices have become increasingly more popular in the last decade—something that companies haven't failed to take note of in all sectors, property included. In fact, according to OLX Philippines, over 70% of property-related inquiries are made on its online marketplace and its sister property listing platform Property24 Philippines, through mobile devices.

This was revealed by Kristina Bautista, head of real estate at OLX Philippines and head of Property24 Philippines, at a press conference during a summit about the property sector and technology in Taguig City in the beginning of April.

The inquiries were made not only via mobile browsers but also the OLX Philippines and Property24 apps available for Android and iOS devices.

“And that’s why we started investing more in our apps… The engagement is so much higher on apps,” she said.

Bautista put the property inquiries they get at around 300,000 to 500,000 a month on average and said they had grown “more than 50% I would say versus 2016.”
