BlaBlaCar, a long distance carpooling platform, currently boasts 70 million users and is operating in 22 countries. The company's efforts in Brazil started up back in 2015 and now they have over 3 million users there.
Ricardo Leite, Country Manager of Bla Bla Car Brazil, recently spoke about the local operation, mobility challenges and expansion plans. In his vision, Brazil is living a movement of mobility revolution, of which Bla Bla Car is also part.
"There is a revolution in progress, still very embryonic. It has a number of impacts on public policies in transport infrastructure, in culture, you change the habits in Brazil. There is still this habit of buying, you have the car, but it is changing," he points out.
