Monster, one of the world's leading providers of recruiting solutions, has announced the global launch of its latest innovation: Monster Studios. It enables candidates and employers to get to know each other better as part of the application process, thus making the process more successful.

Monster Studios is a smartphone app that HR managers and recruiters can use to record, edit, and publish videos for their jobs within minutes. By incorporating a video, recruiters and leaders can capture the benefits of the job, the company's personality, and the work environment. For candidates, the videos provide a valuable insight into the vacant position, the corporate culture and the future workplace.

"Videos in job advertisements bring workplace culture to life," says Scott Gutz, Monster Chief Executive Officer. "We know that candidates, especially on their mobile devices, do not want to consume information in the form of long blocks of text, as is the case with traditional job advertisements. Videos allow companies to provide a broader view of the job they are bidding on to help them get an even better fit between the job and the job. Monster Studios is an important step in transforming the interaction between both sides. A more honest and transparent exchange between employer and job applicant is, in our view, an important success factor for employees to work in a satisfied and productive manner in the workplace."

At the end of 2018, Monster Studios was announced. In early 2019, the beta phase started in the US with 100 and in Europe with 200 Monster customers. Stefan Begall, Director Recruitment, Sweden & EMEA at Volvo explains: "We were in the beta program because we think videos are helping to stand out and are more appealing than text ads. Candidates get a better idea of our company and our culture."

"We are pleased to introduce this new solution to our customers in Europe," says Sylvia Edmands, Managing Director of Monster in Germany. "The initial feedback from the beta customers was consistently positive - they are excited about how easy it is to create and embed their videos in the monster.de job ads. We are confident that this service will help our clients find even more suitable candidates for their vacancies. Once again, it's a new way to meet your human resources needs, which we support with Monster Studios."

"We are impressed with Monster Studios' innovative video technology," adds Holly Heinze-Coolican, Director of People Development at Raymour & Flanigan. "We are constantly looking for new ways to make applicants aware of us. With Monster Studios, that's because the videos bring life to the standard job ad."

Since launching in the United States in mid-April, over 200 videos have been created and published in job advertisements. Companies report increased numbers of applicants after the release of the video job ad and an average better overall viewing rate than the Brightcove benchmark.

At launch, the app will initially be available for Apple iPhones in the following countries: United States, United Kingdom, Italy, Sweden, France, Netherlands, Canada (English and French), Germany, Ireland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, Czech Republic and Finland. The Android version will be available in all mentioned countries in a few weeks.
