Gettacar will soon be migrating away from physical sales of cars and moving toward an entirely digital sales process without a showroom or sales staff.
Smart cars can steer you around traffic jams. Autonomous vehicles can drive you to school and work.
But can the modern day vehicle sell itself?
From a new headquarters located off Street Road in Bensalem, Gettacar has joined the latest trend in automotive sales — selling cars and trucks without a showroom or any salespeople.
Last year, Co-Founders Yossi Levi and Jake Levin, of Philadelphia, reported $30 million in used car sales with a “direct-to-your door, online platform.”
Gettacar said it employs 81 people, hiring 27 full-time workers in the past five months. Nearly every part of its sales process is web-based, said Levi. While some government documents must be signed in person, they’re delivered to a customer along with the car, after purchase.
Gettacar said it already has a 25,000-square-foot reconditioning center in Northeast Philly, where it processes thousands of used cars and trucks per month for resale on the internet. At the end of that processing line, a 360-degree photo booth snaps shots from every angle for each car’s unique internet profile.
