Amazon, the online retail company, is partnering together with ALD, a business mobility company, to develop a new leasing push. Amazon's Spanish branch recently started up Motors, their new online retail platform for customers to lease vehicles from several different companies. ALD Auto provides credit analyst and back office services.
The new car leasing solution comes at low monthly prices with no initial deposit, free doorstep delivery and a 50km/30-day return policy. Leasing packages are available for either 36 or 48 months and include service and maintenance, insurance, tyre replacement, breakdown assistance, vehicle registration, and excess mileage buffer.
After selecting the car and the lease duration, Motors’ customers receive an email with a link taking them to leasing provider ALD Automotive’s online leasing platform, where customers complete a credit assessment and sign the contract. ALD Automotive will schedule free delivery of the car to the customer’s doorstep and manage the lease for the duration of the contract.
First collaboration between Amazon and ALD Automotive
“We often experiment with new ideas and learn based on feedback we receive from customers. With Motors, we are focused on providing the low prices and convenience that customers expect from Amazon, while making the car leasing process as easy as possible,” said Raoul Heinze, Director, EU Automotive at Amazon. “Customers now can lease a car entirely online, without worrying about unplanned maintenance costs, tyre changes, or registration. On Amazon, the price customers see is the total price they pay per month, no need to call for a quote. They just add fuel.”
