The team in Scotland are an established group of recruitment professionals, knowledgeable in their own disciplines as well as the job market in their locations.

Morgan Hunt has acquired Design Build Maintain (DBM) Recruitment, led by Gillies MacDonald, to deliver the specialist recruitment services required across public and private sectors. We are pleased to announce that Gillies has taken up the position of Director for Scotland at Morgan Hunt to ensure a smooth transition for the clients of DBM Recruitment who can benefit from the infrastructure and technology that supports Morgan Hunt’s existing public sector operations.

DBM Recruitment has operated for over 4 years in Scotland placing senior level talent into the construction and property sectors and has existing relationships with many public sector organisations. Gillies, the founder of DBM Recruitment, has spent his entire recruitment career in Scotland. Before running this business he was a Director for Hays Recruitment in Scotland.

Dan Taylor, MD at Morgan Hunt commented: “I am delighted to welcome Gillies MacDonald to the Morgan Hunt board. His appointment and our commitment to the Scottish market marks a key step in our plans to deliver our recruitment services through a local team to public sector employers in Scotland. We already operate on a number of public sector supply frameworks in England and Wales and are looking forward to participating with the networks in Scotland.”

“The recruitment challenges for public sector employers in Scotland can be very different to those in England. Key employment hubs such as Glasgow, for example, have a high demand right now for professionals in social housing and information technology to meet the building and infrastructure requirements driven by Scottish Government’s commitment to renewing their estates and improving the technology provision across their services. Being part of a recruiter with expertise in the sector and the scale to deliver talent into local jobs is really exciting.”
