Byrider will be apart of the Automatic Dealer Program to offer their customers who buy a user car the Automatic Connect Car Assistant and free services including three years of crash alerts, maintenance services, and 18 months of Automatic's premium program which includes roadside assistance.
The company has already started to add these connected car features for customers at select locations and plans on adding more throughout the coming weeks. All of Byrider's 149 locations can choose to join up with the Automatic Dealer Program.
Automatic's connected adapter and app can turn almost all cars made after 1996 into a connected vehicle. This will allow drivers to access several features including important information like car service notifications, engine light information, and possible recall notices.
"We are happy to incorporate Automatic connectivity into our exclusive used car warranties and service agreements," said Shannon Aldridge, Director of Franchise Operation, Byrider. "This allows us to better serve the customers' needs while enhancing our customer retention. With the addition of Automatic, our customers can drive with confidence for years to come."
"As the national leader in 'buy here pay here' vehicle sales, we are extremely excited to have Byrider participate in the Automatic Dealer Program," said Joe Verbrugge, SiriusXM's EVP and Division President, Connected Vehicle. "We are looking forward to offering Automatic's safety and convenience services to their customers across the country, as well as providing Byrider with the ability to better understand the needs of their customers and the ability to engage them after purchase."
Every Automatic subscriber provides information about every car which will include general location, how the car is used, maintenance information, vehicle performance, and other information that will help the company better maintain their services.
