Genesis, a luxury auto brand, started up their Genesis at Home retail experience platform for consumers in Canada by teaming with Motoinsight, a retail service company, by using their MotoCommerce online retail platform. Motoinsight calls the Genesis at Home program a "global industry first" which allows consumers to find the car they want and purchase it entirely online.
Genesis is now growing into the Australian marketplace. This takes the MotoCommerce from Motoinsight into a new market and the company says they are now operating within Australia, Canada, and the United States.
Motoinsight stated that their MotoCommerce retailing platform is an onmi-channel service that combines digital and physical sales in what they call "a unified customer journey." They claim that their platform allows customers to finish an entire car purchasing process online and only needing to show up at a dealership if they choose to pick up the car themselves.
Recently, Genesis Motors within Australia opened up their own retail store in Sydney which also included their entire omni-channel retail functions. Consumers in the country can buy their vehicles online through the company's website.
“Creating a unique customer experience that holds true in a global context was a key priority in the launch of our Genesis brand for the Australian market,” said Linda Fabis, National Marketing Manager for Genesis Motors Australia. “Having witnessed the success of Genesis at Home in Canada, it followed that we would offer that same transparency and convenience to our Australian customers.”
Andrew Tai, Motoinsight's CEO, says that the consumer experience is where companies should be fighting in order to bring in new customers.
