CarDekho, a platform for auto information and buying and selling new and used cars, recently stated the company will be hiring around 2,000 new employees as they continue to grow.
Currently, CarDekho already has around 2,800 employees and stated they will be hiring up in both technology and non-technology positions in multiple portions of the company in India.
Around 20% of these new hires will be middle to senior level spots in their insurance, financial technology, online, and retail businesses, another 30% will specifically be within their technology division in Gurgaon and Jaipur.
A total of 50% of these new hires will be within non-technology based positions, specifically within their B2B and channel sales operations. They also stated:
"We will be hiring about 1,000 people for our B2B business in finance and insurance verticals," CarDekho Co-Founder and CEO Amit Jain said.
Jain also stated the company will be expanding their CarDekho Gaaddi Store network as they hope to have around 150 stores open by the end of the year.
This follows the company's recently announced InsuranceDekho, their push into the auto and health insurance marketplace. Currently their insurance platform has partnerships with over 20 different health and auto insurance companies. CarDekho is hoping to sell around $1 million worth of policies every month for the next three years.
InsuranceDekho wants to make the insurance process easier and simpler by having an advisory model and by offering superb customer service.
At the beginning of this year, CarDekho also announced they had fund raised $110 million from Hillhouse, CapitalG, Axis Bank, and Sequioa India. With these new funds the company stated they would improve upon their transaction services which includes their financing and insurance segments.
