Carsome, a digital used car platform from Southeast Asia, recently appointed Danny Chin to be their newly created position of Group Chief Marketing Officer.
In his new role, Chin will lead all Carsome’s brand marketing, consumer marketing and trade marketing activities across the region with offices in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia. Chin will be reporting to the Group Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, Eric Cheng.
“His senior leadership position is key for our business growth as the brand continues to provide convenience to customers across the region through our services” said Cheng.
Prior to this, Chin was the chief marketing officer at redONE, Malaysia’s first postpaid Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) before leaving the company earlier this year.
His responsibilities at redONE included the growth of the consumer brand strategy, product marketing, retail marketing and consumer engagement which led the company to achieve its one million postpaid customers in September 2018.
Chin brings with him close to 18 years of advertising and digital experience, where he has worked on various accounts from various industry categories such as telecommunication, consumer electronics, airline, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), financial, entertainment, luxury, automobile, beauty, retail and many more.
