Cazoo, a used car retailer platform preparing to launch later this year, recently hired on seven new senior positions as they move closer towards their start date.
Having raised over £30 million at the end of last year, the online used car buying platform soon to be launched by Zoopla Founder Alex Chesterman, has already built a team of over 80 people based in Euston, central London.
Cazoo aims to make buying a used car no different to buying any other product online today by letting consumers select from thousands of cars online and have it delivered to their door in as little as 48 hours.
The seven appointments will help build the teams for Cazoo’s chief customer officer Darren Bentley and the company’s chief technology officer Jonathan Howell, as well as the data and finance departments.
Cazoo has been steadily building its team in the last few months, attracting new hires from across the industry, including Auto Trader, Tesla and Manheim.
Alex Chesterman, Cazoo Founder and Chief Executive, said: “These latest hires each bring with them deep retail and digital experience and proven track records in their respective fields.
“We have now assembled a world class senior management team alongside a total team of over 80 who are entirely focused on delivering the UK’s best used car buying experience.”
