Hotel and vacation rental giant, OYO Hotels & Homes, is now offering free insurance for users that book its Indian properties through its app, website, or in person with an OYO agent.

The insurance covers situations such as baggage loss, outpatient treatment and accidental death for the duration of the stay.

Coverage is offered through ACKO General Insurance and applies to guests staying at OYO Hotels, OYO Home, OYO Townhouse, Collection O, SilverKey, Capital O and Palette Resorts.

“Customer experience is our utmost priority and we passionately work towards creating a hassle‐free and comfortable experience for our guests,” says Gaurav Ajmera, OYO Hotels and Homes COO for India and South Asia.

“With the complimentary insurance offering, we are taking a step forward in this direction. The unique feature which has never been offered before in the Indian hospitality industry, designed in partnership with ACKO, aims to cater to the unexpected, unplanned and isolated situations, that our guests across 300-plus cities in the country, that choose OYO as their preferred accommodation option, could face."

The company says the insurance also benefits hotel owners by providing better guest satisfaction and driving repeat business.

Guests booking an OYO property in India can view their insurance policy on the booking confirmation page or by logging into either the OYO or ACKO websites with their mobile number.
