Tootle, an online retail service for purchasing cars, recently went into administration.
Launched in 2015, tootle.co.uk provided an online platform for owner's wishing to sell their vehicles to a network of used car dealerships across the UK.
It was marketed as the safe and easy way to sell your car online and Tootle claimed to help owner's sell their car "quickly, conveniently and for a great price."
The website worked by allowing private sellers to advertise their car to 2000 vetted dealers across the UK, who would then bid for the vehicle.
However, earlier this month, Tootle, under the trading name Online Auto Sales Ltd, was forced to call in the adminstrators
A statement by the administrators simply said that "due to financial constraints the company has recently ceased trading."
The administrators are now seeking to establish whether there is any interest in the company’s business and assets.
