OrCam Technologies and DisJob, an employment platform specializing in professional profiles with disabilities, have joined forces to promote the labor inclusion of people with visual disabilities.

The mission of OrCam is to take advantage of the potential of artificial vision by incorporating a pioneering technology in a portable platform capable of improving the lives of people, especially those who suffer from visual problems, with limited vision, or who have a reading disability.

The OrCam MyEye device provides visual assistance through a discreet portable platform and an easy-to-use interface, improving the quality of life of its users.

OrCam MyEye is the world's most advanced portable assistance device for blind or visually impaired people. Thanks to artificial intelligence, OrCam instantly reads text, bar codes, recognizes faces, identifies products, bills, colors, and can even tell the user the time and date, all with intuitive gesture control.

It does this by transmitting visual information audibly and at all times respecting the user's privacy, even when operating without an Internet connection. While it will not improve a person's eyesight, it will improve their quality of life exponentially. OrCam devices are available in more than 30 languages worldwide and thousands of people use it daily on an international level.

“The mission of OrCam is to normalize the daily life of people with visual problems. Being able to facilitate the reintegration into the working world of this group is one of our main focuses,” says Fabio Rodríguez, Country Manager of OrCam Technologies for Spain and Portugal.

“Thanks to OrCam MyEye2.0, a greater inclusion of people with vision problems will be possible, which will allow many companies and professionals to consider including candidates with some visual impairment in their selection processes, reaching an equal opportunity by this group in its hiring and labor insertion,” adds Rosa Cuartero, CEO and Founder of DisJob.
