Manheim, an auto auction company, recently hired Dean Ashworth from Inchcape Retail and John Fletcher from Kwik to be General Managers at car auction centers in Wimbledon and Colchester.
The company's owner, Cox Automotive, also stated that Ashworth would be coming on board with Manheim after 18 years with Inchcape Retail where he held several positions including General Manager and Head of Business where he worked with major auto brands like Porsche, Audi, and Volkswagen.
Fletcher will be joining Manheim after leaving Kwik Fit where he worked as their Regional Manager where he oversaw 15 of the company's biggest centers.
Ashworth will take over at Manheim's Colchester location and see over their four-lane auction center and oversee around 200 employees.
Colchester is currently Manheim's biggest auction center and conducts an average of three auctions every week in addition to other individual events. The center usually sells around 6,000 cars every month.
Ashworth said: “I’m excited to join the business as it advances its digital strategy, and I look forward to working with the rest of the leadership team to deliver an innovative, blended approach that will offer more flexibility to our buyers and great results for our vendors.”
Fletcher started managing while working at Ford and has also been in management roles at Euro Car Parts and Halfords Auto Centres.
He will be working as General Manager at Manheim's Wimbledon location and oversee the centre's plans to expand and grow.
He said: “In joining Manheim, I’ve found a business that shares my personal values."
“At Wimbledon, our customers range from small independent dealers to remarketing managers for large dealer groups and fleets.
“The auction centre plays an important role in the success of all these businesses, and I look forward to helping our customers achieve their remarketing goals.”
Manheim Managing Director, Peter Bell, said: “I am delighted to welcome Dean and John to our auction leadership team.
“Both have a wealth of experience in senior roles within automotive, and I’m extremely pleased to have them on board as we focus on ensuring that we continue to deliver a high-quality experience, tailored to the needs of new and existing Manheim customers.”
