Comdata, a payment and operating technology company, recently announced a new product for business intelligence to help vehicle fleet managers better analyze and understand the information when using Comdata fuel cards.
This new product is called Comdata OneLook and provides fleet managers with a visualization of data and performance information online in order to better understand their fleet operations.
The company believes with this new information platform fleet managers will be able to easily access and manage their fleet's data "every mile of the day" according to Comdata's North American Trucking Division Senior Vice President of Product and Innovation Justin King. King also called the new platform “a modern and intuitive analytics tool.”
Comdata believes this new product will offer a visual way to see a fleet's fueling behavior as well as an individual driver's fueling patterns. Fleet managers can use this information to improve their fleet performance and better manage how the fleet spends money.
Several kinds of vehicle fleets already use Comdata fuel cards according to the company. Comdata believes their new product will is applicable to local fleets and trucking fleets especially. Fleets of varying types of vehicles will also be able to see their fleet operations in one dashboard view.
Fleet operators can also make alterations with this new data and increase revenues and profits.
Comdata also states that information won't be delivered in monthly reports, but the platform would offer real-time information The platform would offer data on fleet KPI, driver patterns, and gas prices per gallon.
This new platform was created alongside local and truck fleet managers who both helped with beta testing and overall design. In addition, the company took in consumer feedback that helped them finalize the design.
Trucking and local fleets who currently use Comdata's fuel card can subscribe and start using the platform right away.
“Comdata OneLook has really honed in on what my team needs,” said Bill Davis, Category Manager, Procurement for PowerTeam Services Inc., which was a beta customer.
Davis added, “We now have access to fleet analytics right out of the box, saving us the time and effort needed to pull reports manually. It used to take us half a day to do what we can now do in just a few simple clicks.”
