LinkedIn, the world's largest professional social network, has recently announced the global launch of its new LinkedIn Events tool, which will allow users to create, share, and discover professional events that take place near them.

With it, the platform aims to promote the offline communities that help LinkedIn members build more fruitful and higher quality networking relationships.

According to social network data, face-to-face meetings improve the chances of accepting someone on LinkedIn from 20% to 80%. This reinforces the idea that face-to-face communities are necessary for the creation of stronger labor relations.

With LinkedIn Events, platform professionals will be able to reach their network of contacts offline and will renew the worldwide creation of a professional face-to-face network.

All members can create and join professional events, invite other people using “invitation filters”, contact other attendees through the social network, and then stay in touch after the event. Its members are the top priority for the platform, hence its commitment to building trust and security.

LinkedIn Events will also allow users to create Private Events which enables secure conversations in a trusted environment with members of interest. In addition, the invitation filters give access to the 645 million members of the global LinkedIn network to filter and find related professionals in the sector with whom users can organize further events.

The main objective of the professional network is to help its members find and build relationships of interest.

LinkedIn has the necessary resources to promote offline professional communities such as alumni meetings, happy hours, company off-sites, or local LinkedIn workshops and events.

Now, the platform seeks to go beyond online conversations and build real relationships, as well as improve the feeling of belonging to a community with members from the same cities, or throughout their nation, with a sense of security.
