SmartRent offers new proptech solution for the multifamily sector

Alloy Fusion is allowing renters to control call boxes, locks, thermostats and more from one touchscreen interface.

SmartRent, a smart home automation provider for property managers and renters, has recently launched the Alloy Fusion hub. This control center helps residents control their in-home smart devices from one place. For property managers, the Alloy Fusion hub provides a streamlined digital experience for renters. SmartRent also launched a self-guide tour solution that enables property owners to offer a flawless unattended experience to those looking to rent. The self-guided tours solution is a web-based tour platform that allows prospective renters to view a property online, fill out pre-qualification and ID verification information, and receive access for their self-guided tour all within a unified singular experience.

When it comes to innovation within the real estate industry, the multifamily sector generally lags behind. Part of this can be on account of renters not wanting to invest in smart home technology for a property they rent and do not own. But, rental communities need better technology to improve the convenience, safety and accessibility of properties for residents and consumer services.

The Alloy Fusion hub is a touchscreen thermostat and smart home hub that allows users to manage and control their smart home devices. Using the on-wall touchscreen unit, residents can change the temperature, lower shades, lock or unlock their door, or even let someone in the building all from one intuitive interface. The Alloy Fusion also allows residents to receive video calls from guests or vendors, like package or food delivery, and grant them entry to the building or their front door.
